Cinquain poem

In Room 5 we have been learning to do cinquain  poems, these are some of  my favorite ones!!!

GIRAFFE

Tall, spotty

Galloping, munching, reaching

Giraffes are very tall.

Calf

SWAMP-TIGER

Stripey, orange

  Running, jumping, hunting

Largest of all cats.

Swamp-cub

DOG

Adorable, playful

Frolicking, jumping, barking

Cutest thing on earth

Chihuahua

Big bad wolf

The Big Bad Wolf has a fluffy neck.His neck looks like a porcupine

.This Big Bad wolf you do not want to go near because he is BIG, BAD, GREEDY AND BEADY!!! His tail is as a chopstick, and his claws  are like knifes ...stabbing knifes in fact!The Big Bad Wolfs eyes look like tennis rackets.He has lots of fur and claws too.

The Big Bad Wolf is as sly as a tiger creeping upon it's prey.  He is such a trickster. He is like mice tricking a big cat.He IS a naughty as a run-away-pony escapeted out of its field.SO sneeky, because he took the short-cut. he had lived in the wood for a long time so he new his way.

The Big Bad Wolf is very sneaky, he likes to gobble up little children. He also likes to spy on the children before he eats them.When he spies he does it quickly, quietly and carefully.When he walked through he met a little girl called Little Red Riding Hood, so he talked to her quietly and sweetly. He sneaks up eagerly to the children. When he eats Granny, he eats loudly and fast. When he is waiting for Little Red Riding Hood, he is eager to eat her.

"Ready set go" Sally excitedly said.

At first Klara was in, then Emilia was in.

I started running and sprinting!

First I went to the front filed,it was safe there.

So I thought it would be more fun running around

 letting people chase me!

So I did just that,but as soon as I got there I found that I got tagged

 as I took my first step to the front

 field I got tagged by Cooper and 

Amba! So I held two hands in the air and wished I didn't go to the 

front field.But when I looked around I saw mainly 

the whole class running and dashing around

so I ran up to some people and tried to tag them then Sally said "game

over" I was pleased I didn't have to be in for long.

so that is the story of ........................................................

Walruses!!!!

  
We have been learning about Walrus. We made a presentation using Google Slides.  It was fun focusing on Walruses!   

Earthquake exhibition

Yesterday I went to the museum to see the Christchurch Earthquake exhibition.  Something interesting I learnt was that in 1881 the Christchurch cathedral cross fell down.I would have not liked to be in the Christchurch earthquake because everyone would be petrified and hurt.
One question is that I have is why do tectonic plates move?

Term 1s achievment

Each and every-one has made their goal. We are focusing on one thing. In Term 1 we focused on managing ourselves.
